Intangible Corruption is an emerging special form of political corruption. With the further development of anti-corruption in our country, the traditional corruption amongst social public organizations has transformed from the direct exchange of power and money to intangible corruption which features hypocrisy, indirection, obscurity, concealment, and derivativeness. Intangible corruption is an important sign of corruption socialization and the hotbed of corruption. It causes severe damage to the image of’public servants’that Chinese civil servants should have represented, decreases to a large extent government credibility and spoils the social ethos. Firstly; in this paper, it explores the causes of the emergence of intangible corruption and summarizes the primary characteristics of intangible corruption; Secondly, it reveals the main damages that intangible corruption causes by analyzing relevant cases. Then in the method of compare and contrast, it takes a sample of the uncorrupted districts which are globally recognized and introduces their experience in the prevention of ’intangible corruption’. Finally, it proposes a series of strategies to suppress’intangible corruption’in our country.
