Action Strategy Selection For Group’s Defending Rights And Government’s Stability Maintenance

As a prominent phenomenon of social conflict, the occurrence, progress and interaction of both civilians and governments in mass disturbances in rural areas,reflect the current political situation of the society and psychological status of the mass,the study of which has both theoretical and practical significance in the theme of current social order and development in China.Based on the perspective of rational choice theory, case study on the event in village K of Province G,this thesis scrutinizes the emergence and resolution procedures of mass disturbances in rural areas from both aspects of the events—right-safeguarding of peasants and society stabilizing of governments. Based on the above, the thesis outlines the logic of mass disturbances and works out proper countermeasures.Firstly,base on the review of event in village K,discusses the relationship between land interest and the peasants’ right,described the process of the village K. Then,explore the villagers’protection strategy,describes the changes of villagers from mild fight early to violent protest, to rational action compromise,cooperation with the government.As well as make further discussion on the analysis of the operation modes and logic of countermeasures of local governments against mass disturbances,discussed how to improve and enhance the government’s ability, the integration of social resources,establish good governance system,perfecting the mechanism of prevention and disposal of group events and other issues.
