Marx’s Social Division Of Labor Theory And Its Contemporary Value

Social division of labor was originally produced in primitive society and it is the resultof the social productivity to a certain stage. At the same time, the social division of laborpromotes productivity forward and social progress. In all ages, many philosophers,economists carry on the deep research and exploration of the phenomenon of division of labor,on the study of the question of division of labor, Plato, Adam Smith, Utopian socialismscholars are representative. Among them, the starting point of the economic theory system ofAdam Smith is the division of labor. On the basis of Marx inherited and criticized AdamSmith and others’ idea of division of labor, through the analysis of relations of the division oflabor and productivity, production relations, division of labor and human development,division of labor and world’s history, thus forming his unique theory of social division oflabor. Marx’s study of division of labor problems and then form a Marxist dialectical,practical and historical social division of labor theory, in the theoretical system of Marxistphilosophy, economics theory system holds the extremely important position.
