The Construction And Exploration Of The Road To Socialism Of The Communist Party Of Britain In The21^st Century

In Britain, a rich historical seam of communist ideas dates back to the Middle Ages andbeyond.The desire for a future based on peace, co-operation,community, solidarity andcommon wealth has long inspired the peoples of England, Scotland and Wales.Its roots liedeep in Britain’s trade unions, socialist societies and other working classorganizations.Founded in1920, so far it has gone through nearly a century of ups anddowns.Since its establishment,it has adhered to the theoretical guidance of Marxism-Leninismand united the working class to carry out a unremitting struggle against the rule of monopolycapital, in order to maintain political and economic interests of the people and push forwardsocial progress.Although CPB has never been in office because of its small size,it has become not onlythe largest Communist Party in Britain, a member of the European communist parties,and afamily of the world socialist movement.It did not have development cheeked due to theCollapse of Soviet Union and Eastern Socialist Countries.When faced with new situation fromhome to abroad,it changes its policies in this phase in time,and creatively explores the road tosocialism.In the current historical period of the general low tide of the world socialistmovement,the development of CPB provokes our common thought.In the guidance of Marxism,this paper mainly focuses on expounding and analyzing thesocialist theory and practice of the Communist Party of Britain in the21stcentury.This paperis divided into the following parts.The Introduction section analyzes the significance of theresearch theme, the current level of relevant research, the research contents and studymethods,as well as some innovations and inadequacies of this paper.The first part simply presents the difficult and tortuous course of development of theBritain Communist Party,and then describes the difficult situation and the new historicalconditions from Britain and outside.Regarding the two names(CPGB and CPB) in the historyas line,describe its about one hundred eventful years,after the collapse of Soviet Union,theCPGB disbanded,then CPB took its flagship.Since the new century,Britain experienced theadministrative of Labor party and Coalition government.The international situation iscomplex and changeable,the multipolar trend is not reversed. The second part describes the strengthening of Party building,including organizationbuilding,theoretical building,financial building,and the relationship of media,etc.Faced withthe drastic changes,it makes development of the strategies strictly in these aspects in order toachieve the short objective of expanding its size.The third part is mainly about the analysis of the theory and path toward socialism thatthe Communist Party of Britain held in the new century.The rethink on Capitalism andSocialism,the CPB criticizes the capitalist system.Socialism is the only form of society thatoffers the potential for solving humanity’s problems in conditions of individual and collectivefreedom.In Britain,the potential exists to pursue an alternative economic and political strategythat challenges and ultimately defeats the ruling class.More specifically,a popularanti-monopoly alliance can be built,led by the labor movement.In the meantime,it also probeshow to construct the communist society in several phases.In the fourth part,it mainly expounds the practice of Communist Party of Britain, andincludes the following aspects:CPB took part in the general elections,local elections andEuropean Parliament elections,joined in the labor and progressive movements,and attended inthe international meetings and activities,communicated with other communist parties.Throughthe representation of its real practice,it hopes to construct the blueprint of the road tosocialism with other communist parties in the area of European and the world.The fifth part is to analyze the main challenges and prospects which the CPB will beconfronted with in the21stcentury.The challenges includes three aspects,the influence of thepolitical,party system and traditional culture in the Britain,the influence of low tide ofinternational socialist movement,and the new circumstances,as well as its developmentdifficulties.As far as its future,we analyze it from three respects,the attraction of socialism,thecreation and change of basic Marxism theories combined with its practice and the thrivingdevelopment of new society movements.In general,the exploration of the Socialist Theory and Practice of CPB,not only for theUnited Kingdom,but for the world communist movement,its impact can not be ignored.Bystudying the the CPB exploration of socialist road and dilemma that is facing,we can analyzethe success and lessons learned from this phase,reveal the current difficulties andchallenges,so can find coping strategies,and correctly analyze the role of CPB in the political arena.
