Professionalization Of Young Pioneers Counselor----current Issues And Countermeasure

The Youth Pioneers of China (YPC) is a public organization for younger generation, which is founded and lead by Communist Party of China (CPC).It is a school for youth to learn socialism with Chinese characteristics. It is also the reserve team that responsible for the future construction of socialism and communism. The world evolves, which leaves the hallmark of times branded on the youth who lived in that period. The work of YPC has changed, but the work progress of YPC will be impaired with the absence of Young Pioneers counselors. The competence and ability of these counselors will affect the efficacy of YPC’s work. To optimize the efficacy of YPC’s work, we need to cultivate echelons of counselors who are of high quality and good at their work, which is the approach of professionalization. Only the professionalization of YPC counselors will ensure the high quality of YPC work. The current research aims to "provide delineations and countermeasures". The author first provided the current status on the professionalization of YPC counselors, then identified the exiting problems and conducted a thorough analysis of these problems. And finally the countermeasures are provided. There are five chapters as follows:Firstly, in the introduction part, we inspected the background of YPC, the existing problems on the Party level and national level in order to find it origins, the meaning and aim of the research. We did a literary review to better position our research.Secondly, we ascertained the definitions of "YPC","YPC counselor","professionalization of YPC counselor", and then we compared the professionalization of YPC counselor with the professionalization of teachers. And the necessity and the significance of the professionalization of YPC counselor were elaborated in various degrees. Thirdly, by using questionnaire and interviews, we expanded our understanding of the professionalization of YPC counselor from the prospects of professional training and role evaluation, thus assessing the problems about professionalization of YPC counselor much clearer.Fourthly, after knowing the current situation of professionalization of YPC counselor, we analyze the factors that affect the professionalization of YPC counselor, which includes social status, training system, social security, and the YPC counselors.Finally, we provided the countermeasures and advice about the professionalization of YPC counselor. The measures include uplifting the professional status of YPC counselors, improving the professional training, raising the moral and ethical awareness, perfecting the training systems.The professionalization of YPC counselor is a dynamic process; we explore the issues about the professionalization of YPC counselor. To bear the responsibility given by the Party and China to the YPC counselors, and to make the YPC counselor ready for challenges of the age, we should improve the professionalization of YPC counselor from both the theoretical and practical prospects, improve and perfect their counseling ability, make sure we adopt the scientific, normal, and efficacious methods. The research is based on such considerations, we focus on the practices of this important issue and conducted thorough research in order to provide valuable experience and the consensus in ideas.
