On The Institution Of Infamia In Roman Law And Its Effect On Modern Society Ruled By Law

Infamia system is a unique system in Roman Law, it narrows the main personalcharacter on moral grounds and it is an identity system that can make relevant individualsinto a private right damaged condition. The infamia is usually based on two grounds,specific facts and sentence of a praetor. So it also can be divided into two sections: thecensorian infamia and the praetorian infamia. The infamia system played a very importantrole in identity control and social management in ancient Rome.
