Study Local Government Functions Of Urban Community Care Services

With the development of social economy and improvement of living standard, thefamily structure indicates the characteristics of miniaturization and nuclealiztiongradually. Moreover, because of the increasing number of old age empty-nest families,the traditional family endowment cannot be the only option for the elderly pension.Unfortunately, since China is getting old before it has got rich, the economic strength isnot solid enough to support institutions for old-age care. In this context, the communityservice, as a new pattern of pension mode, is great accord with the actual demand of ourcountry at present. In the meanwhile, due to the influence of the level of economicdevelopment, the current community endowment service presents differentperformances in various areas. Therefore, the efficient and scientific function of localgovernment in the urban community endowment service has an extreme impact on thehealthy and orderly development of community endowment service.In this paper, by using relevant theories and ideas of sociology and publicadministration, under the study of local government functions, the author analyzes thetransformation and absence of local government functions in the field of urbancommunity endowment service. Besides that, in order to promote the development andconstruction of multi-level community endowment service system, some superficialsuggestions for how to reset local government functions are provided.
