With the further development of higher education and the excessive expansion of theeducation scale, universities are facing more difficulties, especially in the area of shortage ofstudent source due to the decrease of the School-age personnel. Now every university focus onthe school appeal construction not only for their outside reputation, but also for the insidecohesion and the quality of their graduates.This thesis describes important factors of school appeal construction by means of interviewdiscussion, critical review of literatures, and questionnaire survey. What’s more, it establishes amodel of appeal by the measure of analysis of reliability and validity and factorial analysis. Andit uses analytic hierarchy process to count the data. Index weight coefficient confirmed by themodel determines the unified standards of measuring the school appeal condition.Based on the university appeal model, this thesis designs questionnaire survey andinvestigates522students of different grades according to the one class index:universityappeal, secondary indexes: learning facilities, living environment, management activity,development space, recruit will influence, level3indexes:teaching infrastructure,schoolenvironment,extra-curricular activities and59level4indexes.In addition, it analyses thefeasibility of the model, which provides basic information for the research of school appealcondition. According to this thesis, the most important factors to a school’s appeal can be seen asfollows: School ethos, employment rate, teachers’ quality, personal development, teachingfacilities and so on. The weight coefficient of the appeal is80.13%Basing on research, this thesis analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of theschools.Then it puts forward suggestion that schools should improve the quality of the facultiesand core competitiveness, create active school environment and enhance advertising. Then itdevelops a further discussion on the details of implementation strategy.
