Yanan Times marks the phase of the advanced development period of theideological and political education of the Communist Party of China (CPC), theideological and political pedagogy has obtained a substantial amount of success andeffect in every field. Amongst all of them, a nation’s survival and emancipation, as wellas adapting the ideological and political education of the formation of a new school forthe need to train talented people to guarantee the victory of the Anti-Japanese War andits successful development, are some of the various highlights of the ideological andpolitical education. This paper exploits The Anti-Japanese Military and PoliticalUniversity, Northern Shaanxi Public College and Luxun Academy of Fine Arts,abbreviated as the “Three Schools”, as an exemplification to examine and study theteaching experiences and successes of their ideological and political education placedon the students at an in-depth level. The author of this article hopes that the findingswill be a useful reference for the ideological and political education in thecontemporary post secondary institutions.The "Three Schools" are the remarkable wealth of the great historical era, theirformations were to meet the need of the revolutionary development, which is toemancipate and to train a large number of cadres, as well as to satisfy the demand ofthe education model, which involves the innovated and the talented people. The "ThreeSchools", under the Chinese national state at that time, traced and followed the patternof the students’ thinking, altered the former education mode, had courageous changeson the curriculum of the ideological and political pedagogy, the pedagogical contents,principles, methods and many other facets. These amendments produced causedrevolutionary transformations to the education system and its mission statement; as aresult, the expected goals were accomplished and the "Three Schools" gained muchvaluable experience from the ideological and political education during rough periods.These experiences have in turn provided many excellent sources on how to better thequality of ideological and political education in the contemporary universities andcolleges and they also delineated different ways to improve the pertinence andeffectiveness of the ideological and political education.
