Research On The Changes In Values Of College Students Under The Condition Of Reform And Opening-up

As a social consciousness, values depend on the existence of socialreality and change with social development. Under the condition of reformand opening-up, our society has got a huge revolution and people’s valuechange with it. College students are sensitive with social revolution, andtheir values are marked by the times. In this context, dialecticalmaterialism and historical materialism is used as a guide to explore thevalues. Starting from the basic theory, a research on changes in values ofcollege students is done from a historical survey. The values ofcontemporary college students in China go through three stages of change,analyzing the characteristics from five aspects, that is, value target, valueorientation, value assessment, value generation and value of nature. Then,confirm the mainstream and point out the problems of the values ofcollege students. At last, constructing students’ correct valuescountermeasures is presented.
