With the reform of the new curriculum and the promotion of qualityeducation, the aim of China’s education has been transferred from thetraditional test-centered to the current quality-centered. The stage in highschool is critical period that the science literacy formates and develops. Theteaching design of science literacy is benefit to new curricular puts smoothlyinto practice, meantime it is benefit to biological science educationaldevelopment.Under the modern teaching design theories and the leading of the newcourse principle, we wanted to enhance the student’s science literacy level forthe target.This text included the concept of science literacy, the teachingdesign of science literacy、on the basis of the analysis and the research in thescience literacy and the new curricular relation in senior high school.According to new lessons content, I designed the basic procedure of thebiology teaching of the science literacy and four classes teaching caseexample.I have conducted an experiment in Bao Tou Tian Jia Bing highschool four classes of the high grade(two experiment classes and two contrastclasses). Consulting the public science literacy questionnaire of2003, I havecompilated “science literacy oriented design of highschool biology teachingtable”. Through the software of Spss to conduct science literacy orienteddesign of highschool biology teaching table data and academic performancedata. The result showed that the contrast class and the experimental classbefore the test were not significantly different in science literacy(p<0.05);The contrast class and the experimental class after the test wereextremely significantly different in science literacy (p<0.01). The above resultexplained that according to the science literacy of the teaching design wecould rise the level of the science literacy.The level of experiment student’s science literacy was obvious higher than contrast class; The experimentstudent’s score more better than the contrast class.In a word,according to the science literacy oriented design of high schoolbiology teaching can not only promote cacademic performance, but alsoeducates the ability of student’s in independence、cooperative、explorativeRespect and academic achievement. According to science literacy orienteddesign of highschool biology teaching provided with consult of currentclassroom teaching condition for the new curriculum reform.
