The composition teaching has been the focus to the china educators.Composition being of genuine feeling and expressing one’s taste to nature,society and life are the ideas the New Curriculum Standard brings forward.Yu Yi as a china educator, whose thought and practice embody it well andtruly.Emphasis on the accumulating of fundamental knowledge, cultivating ofwriting skills, teaching and evaluating of composed works, inspiring dents’interest of writing, is Mrs. Yu’s main thought.From Yu Yi’s ideas about composition teaching and her teaching practice,we can get some useful enlightments: composition teaching shouldstrengthen the quality of teachers in their own, and be good at guidingstudents to observe life, and emphasis on accumulating the fundamentalknowledge and cultivating student’s interest, and pay attention to govern theprocess of composition teaching, Learning about Yu Yi’s idea should bedialectic, but not isolated.The researching, which studies Mrs. Yu’s thought and practice aboutcomposition teaching, intends to attain some beneficial enlightenment forthe teachers, and to improve the education quality.
