Since the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region was founded in1947, especially after the foundation of republic of China, under the ethnic minorities’ policy of the Party Central Committee during the past above60years; national mathematics educators have made a remarkable contribution to the development of Mongolian primary and secondary mathematics textbooks through several generations’unremitting efforts and innovations in a pioneering. Excavating and collating of the Mongolian primary and secondary school mathematics textbooks as well as teaching materials and clarifying their developmental contexts, which are the important theory value and the practice significance for the construction of Mongolian primary and secondary mathematics textbooks in future. This paper researches the development process of the Mongolian elementary school mathematics textbook from1947. This paper is constituted by six chapters.The first chapter:expatiates the meaning of this research and introduces the present research situations of domestic and overseas, the methods and reformation.Chapter two:it gives us a brief discussion of the relations and differences between the concept of textbooks and teaching materials, compiling principle, policies and guidelines of the Mongolian primary school textbooks, overview of the development of Mongolian textbooks before liberation and after the liberation.Chapter three:it gives us a brief review of the Mongolian mathematics education profiles and the development in Mongolian mathematics textbooks from the Yuan Dynasty to the Republic of China.Chapter four:it investigated the course of development of the Mongolian elementary school mathematics textbooks systematically and thoroughly, and at the same time it discussed the evolution of the Mongolian mathematical terminology.Chapter five:it studied the writing features systematically, inadequacies and other issues of the Mongolian primary school mathematics textbooks after the Cultural Revolution and since the reform and opening up.Chapter six:Based on the requirements and the urgent need for motherland multi-ethnic culture of common prosperity and Mongolian culture and education, it discussed the necessity and strategy of the Mongolian elementary school mathematics textbooks with national characteristics. |
