The implementation of official textbooks in Mongolian teaching schools has great practical needs for the development of ethnic education,and Mongolian teaching primary schools are crucial to the development of ethnic education at the beginning of compulsory education.However,after the implementation of official textbooks,teaching contents as well as teaching strategies have changed in Mongolian teaching primary schools.Based on this change,this thesis uses literature and statistics,interviews and questionnaires after field teaching to analyze deeply in the aspect of historical evolution and current situation of Mongolian teaching primary schools in Suniteyou district,Inner Mongolia,and also the current situation of teaching after the implementation of official textbooks.The purpose of the study is to examine the problems that have arisen after the implementation of official textbooks in minority areas in the new era of education reform by taking primary schools taught in ethnic languages in a region as an example,and to explore how Mongolian teaching primary schools can better use official textbooks to promote the development of teaching and learning.This thesis consists of six chapters:The first chapter,as the introduction section,introduces the basis of topic selection of this thesis,the research questions,research design,literature reviews,and defines the concepts related to the research content.The second chapter provides a comprehensive description of the historical evolution of education in local Mongolian teaching primary schools,the basic situation of the Mongolian elementary school where the research was conducted,and the progress of the full implementation of official textbooks in the local area.The third chapter analyzes the current situation of teaching in Mongolian teaching primary schools after the use of official textbooks.At the student level,the questionnaires were used as data support to analyze the basic situation of students,the current situation of the language environment and the current circumstance of learning in classrooms.At the teacher level,the basic situation of teachers and the current situation of teaching were analyzed based on interviews.The fourth chapter summarizes the problems faced in teaching after the implementation of official textbooks in Mongolian teaching primary schools in Suniteyou district,including the problems of internal language environment of teaching,difficulties of teaching contents,the external problems of teaching pressure and home-school cooperation.The fifth chapter focuses on the teaching problems of Mongolian teaching primary schools and proposes strategies which meet requirements of ethnic education policies to improve the teaching of Mongolian teaching primary schools after the implementation of official textbooks in four aspects: the popularization of Chinese language,the construction of teaching materials,inter-school cooperation,and faculty members.The sixth chapter,as a conclusion and reflection,summarizes the discussion in the first five chapters and reflects on the significance of using official textbooks in Mongolian teaching primary schools in terms of the future development of ethnic education.Through the analysis and discussion of the above chapters,this thesis concludes that the use of official textbooks in Mongolian teaching primary schools is a necessity for the development of ethnic education,and the problems that arise in teaching at this stage are inevitable in the development of ethnic education.Official textbooks will play a more significant role in the teaching work of Mongolian teaching schools as long as we take corresponding measures when teaching problems occur in time.
