The Relationship Between Body Shape And Anaerobic Power Of (in) Cycling Athletes Of Shandong Province

Objective:To investigate the correlation between the cyclist in Shandong Province of anaerobic work capacity and physical fitness indices in the Wingate test indicators, designing to reflect the anaerobic metabolic capacity to provide a theoretical basis for future on cyclists selection.Methods:All the subjects are selected randomly, cyclists of Shandong Province (n=18, which includes the Cycling athletes (n=6, male), mountain bike athletes(n=6,female) and BMX athletes (n=3, male; n=3, female) which the average training period of male athletes is5.44±2.35years,5.17±1.27years for female, and nine athletes are the national master-class athletes, nine are national first-level athletes. Students group (n=27), which includes boys and girls,(n=16, male; n=11, female) have not received special training for cycling. The correlation coefficient used to express the correlation between body shape indicators and anaerobic power achieving by using Pearson correlation analysis, obtaining the exist of differences among different groups by using univariate analysis of variance.Results:First,upper arm length of the male track cycling athletes and college students group had significantly difference (P<0.05), chest circumference had a high significant difference (P<0.01). Forearm length and shoulder width of the male BMX athletes and college students group had a highly significant difference (P<0.01).Hand length in the upper limb measure indacators between female BMX athletes and college students group, had a significant difference (P<0.05), forearm length and shoulder width and Students’ group had significant difference (<0.01). Male Cycling athletes’ leg length compared to college students’ had a highly significant difference (P<0.01), thigh circumference were greater than the college students group (P<0.05), moreover, BMI index were higher than the college students group (P<0.01).Leg length+foot height between male BMX athletes and college students group had a significant difference (P <0.05), The female mountain bike athletes’ lower limb length were longer than the college students group (P<0.05), leg length+foot height were higher than the college students group, the difference was significant (P<0.05). Lower limb length between female BMX athletes and college students had a highly significant difference (P <0.01), and the other indicators had not significant differences (P>0.05).Second, in the Wingate test, PP/Kg and the AP/Kg between male cycling athlete groups and college students group had no significant difference, but the PP and AP are had a highly significant difference (P<0.01), showing that male cycling athletes’ explosive and anaerobic capacity were greater than the college students group.Fatigue index between male BMX athlete group and college students group had no significant difference (P>0.05), but the PP, PP/Kg, the AP, the AP/Kg both had a highly significant difference (P<0.01), showing that male BMX athletes’ explosive power and anaerobic capacity were greater than the college students group, and body weight had a very important role in the sport of BMX. PP, PP/Kg, the AP, the AP/Kg between female mountain bike athletes and college students group had a highly significant difference (P<0.01), indicating that female mountain bike athletes explosive power and anaerobic capacity were greater than students group; female mountain bike athletes’ fatigue index were less than the group of college students, indicating female mountain bike athletes had a higher resistance to fatigue compared to the group of female student. Group of women BMX athletes and college students group had a highly significant difference in PP, AP, the AP/Kg (P<0.01),and PP/Kg had a significant difference (P<0.05), indicating that the explosive power and anaerobic capacity of women BMX athletes were larger than the college students group; fatigue index had no significant difference. In the30s on Wingate test, the male cycling athletes group and male BMX athletes’ in anaerobic power P is greater than the college students group during the six5s test, the difference was highly significant (P<0.01). The female mountain bike athletes group and women BMX athletes’ anaerobic power P were greater than the university students group during the six5s test, the difference was highly significant (P<0.01).Third, some morphological indicators measured about the male Cycling athletes which had a correlation of significant difference with PP were height, sitting height and thigh circumference (P<0.05); weight, hand length, shoulder width, foot length and pelvic widthand hip circumference with the PP had a highly significant difference (P<0.01); as for AP, the indicators were sit high, foot length, pelvic width and waist circumference (P<0.05); height, weight, hand length, shoulder width and hip circumference had a highly significant difference (P<0.01), and the other indicators had no significant difference (P>0.05). Some morphological indicators measured about the female mountain bike athletes which had a correlation of significant difference with PP were weight, sit high, chest circumference, foot length, knee circumference and BMI index (P<0.05), as for AP,the indicators were body weight, sitting height and foot length (P<0.05), the other indicators had no significant difference (P>0.05). Themorphological indicators measured about the female BMX athletes oCycling athlete which had a correlation of significant difference with PP were hip circumference and percentage of body fat (P<0.05), sitting height and PP/Kg were negatively correlated (P<0.05), and body weight had a correlation of significant difference with AP and the AP/Kg (P<0.05), leg length+foot heihet were negatively correlated with both AP and the AP/Kg(P<0.05),the other indicators had no significant differences (P>0.05).Conclusion:First,the body shape of the Shandong Province cyclists’ obvious feature: well-proportioned body, wider shoulders, longer arm, larger bust, longer lower limbs slightly and muscular developed, thigh slightly shorter than the calf, narrow body horizontal.Second, the male cycling athletes’ explosive power and anaerobic capacity in Shandong Province was outstanding,the male BMX athletes’ explosive power and anaerobic capacity was excellent, explosive power and anaerobic capacity of the female mountain bike athletes was in general, women BMX athletes’explosive and anaerobic capacity was in general.Third, this study found that athletes anaerobic power is closely related to body shape indices:height, weight, shoulder width, chest circumference, arm length, hand length, pelvis width,lower limb length, foot length, hip circumference and thigh circumference, this study suggests these indicators should be observed in the cyclists’ primary election.
