Since the21st century, with the rapid development of the global economy and science and the continuous integration of knowledge, people’s living standards have greatly been improved, but the subsequent intense competition and pressure have been heating up. The young generation, as pillars of the modernization of our country, is shouldering the historic mission of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, which requires the highly educated talents in the new era to possess not only strong strain capacity and adaptability, profound knowledge and varied communication skills, but a strong and healthy physique to meet the opportunities and challenges in the society. In order to learn the physique health of the contemporary college students, Ministry of Education of China and General Administration of Sport together implemented in July2002,"Students Physical Health Standard (Trial Scheme)" and the implementation approach, and made a modification in2007. As the implementer of the "Standard", Department of Sports Education should carefully and seriously report the physique health test data according to the national requirements, and analyze the students’physical health status so as to provide a basis for decision making for the PE teaching reform in the new age.The paper researches on the physique health test data of4000undergraduates grading from2008to2011from Dezhou University. The test consists of body height and weight, lung capacity, standing long jump,800-metre,1000-metre, and50-metre race, and grip level. The paper analyses the results of the health test associated with the degree of students’satisfaction with college P. E. course, through literature review, testing method, statistics, interviews, questionnaire survey and logic analysis. The results show that the overall physique health of the students from Dezhou University is not at high level, with most students just passing the Standards, the excellent level ratio too low and failing ratio slightly high. The testing results of the male and female students of the first grade are worst, and those of the third grade best, which may be related with the fact that P.E. course is only carried out in the first and second school years, and the undergraduates begin to pay more attention to the physique health test. In terms of the physical figure, the mean value of the height and weight of the tested male and female students is higher than the average level of nationwide undergraduates of the same age, with the body density index in the normal range of weight. But the nutritional status and physical development do not keep balanced, with the obesity and overweight of the male students at high level, and the underweight and malnutrition of the female students at high proportion. While the male students of the first grade account for the greatest proportion of obesity, the female students of the third grade have the highest ratios of underweight. In terms of the physical mechanism, the male and female undergraduates from Dezhou University generally have the satisfactory cardiopulmonary function, and the mean value of the lung capacity of the tested male and female students is better than the average level of the country, however, the endurance quality is still the weak point of the students’physical constitution, with the failing level ratio slightly high and the excellent ratio slightly low. In terms of the physical quality, the speed and strength qualities are better than the national average level, only with the short-distance running generally in the passing level. The survey on the degree of students’ satisfaction with college PE class suggests that the students are generally satisfied with the course arrangement, the faculties, the evaluation of the physical examination, and the gym facilities. They are highly satisfied with the rapport and rating criteria, but are less satisfied with the course guidance on the regular activities and the quality of the facilities.
