Theoretical teaching is always spotlighted in chemistry experimental education in China. The experimental technique and experimental procedure are usually ignored in the teaching process. Undoubtedly, the traditional chemistry experimental teaching model should be rethought about to carry out the new curriculum concept more efficiently in the practical training of chemistry.The experimental part is becoming more and more important in the middle school chemistry teaching at present. This paper explored the theoretical and practical sections of the new textbook (《The full-time ordinary senior middle school textbooks》published by Jiangsu Education Press) and stated how to motivate and cultivate the students’interest and improve their creativities by different experimental methods.This paper has five sections. The first section revealed the main problems and investigated the currently situation by analyzing the history and currently situation of chemistry experimental teaching worldwide. The second section introduced the research of the experimental system in the new textbook. The position and function of the experimental part was stressed by understanding of the new curriculum standard. Meanwhile, the characteristic and the presentation were highlighted by analyzing the experimental settings of the new textbook. Furthermore, the future of the experimental training was prospected in this section. The third part explained the inquiry learning on chemistry experiment,the design and the research learning on chemical experiment based on the practical chemistry experiments teaching experience of the middle school. The creativities, skills, logic thinking and scientific attitude would be cultivated through the experimental teaching. The forth section listed out the cultivation methods of experimental capabilities. A novel teaching method was proposed based on experimental demonstrations in the textbook of the middle school. The last section, integrated with practice, elaborated the problems of the new experimental teaching and their countermeasures.
