Under the background of curriculum reform in the new era,school-based curriculum,as a supplement to the national curriculum,plays an important role in enriching the current curriculum and cultivating the core literacy.With the deepening of basic education reform,school-based curriculum has been paid more attention from scholars and teachers.The development of new school-based curriculum resources has become one of the new research hotspots.This study attempted to design a high school chemistry school-based curriculum under the new curriculum concept,with the context of pharmaceutical chemistry as well as integrating the perspective of Socio-Scientific Issues(SSI).Firstly,this study searched and analyzed the relevant domestic and foreign literature on SSI education and school-based curriculum.And secondly,A survey of teachers and students was conducted with the aim of surveying their attitudes,expectations and needs towards the curriculum.The results showed that both teachers and students have a positive attitude towards the school-based curriculum of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.However,the current curriculum resources are insufficient.Based on the survey results,this study analyzed the design concept and principles,objectives,contents,teaching elements,and other elements,referred to the needs of students and teachers,designed the school-based curriculum of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.The whole curriculum divided into 3 modules and 8 topics,with pharmaceutical chemistry as main knowledge area as well as combining some implicit factors such as history,humanity and society.The aim is to introduce students to the relationship between the development of pharmaceutical chemistry and society.But due to the Covid-19 epidemic,the curriculum was not implemented in classroom teaching.Therefore,some curriculum experts are invited to evaluate this curriculum and give their opinions and suggestions to improve the curriculum.The research of science education is deeply conducting,and the relationship between science,technology and society has been paid more attention by scholars and teachers.It is hoped that this study can provide reference for the further research.
