French education thinker Edgar Faure handed the research report Learn Existence-Today and Tomorrow of the Educational World to the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). The report pointed out:" the future’s illiteracy will not be the person who doesn’t know a single word, but the person who doesn’t learn how to learn.""Learn how to learn" is one of the four learning abilities advanced by21st century education committee.Modern cognitive psychology thinks that students can’t leave reflection in the process of learning math and this phenomenon reflects that students’ reflection behavior always runs through the process of requiring and using the whole math knowledge. Therefore, teachers can overcome the weaknesses of traditional math learning, enrich students’ learning methods, improve students’ learning ability and find a new way for students’ self-learning in the process of math reflection learning.Recent years, the study of cultivating students’ math learning ability is an issue drawing more and more attention. However, the system study which focuses on the students of senior middle schools in all grades is rare. My study firstly definite the conceptions of reflection and math reflection ability and simply discussed the research value of my issue. Then I did an overall and deep study on the current situation of math reflection ability of senior middle school students in all grades. My study studied the current situation and original problem of senior middle school students’math reflection problem from the view that the conception of teaching and learning changes because of the development of present learning theory study. I made up the Questionnaire of Senior Middle School Students’ Reflection Ability which adapts our school’s students’characteristic on the bases of analyzing the characteristic of our school’s students math reflection ability and referring to the Questionnaire of Middle School Students’ Math self Monitoring Ability by Mr. Zhang Jianyue, the Questionnaire of Senior Middle School Students’ Math Reflection Ability by Cai Wenjun, the Questionnaire of Current Situation Investigation of Senior Middle School Students’ math reflection learning by Ni Jin from Bai Xiang Middle School in Yueqing, Zhejiang. I also investigated the current situation of students’ reflection learning ability. The results showed that firstly the top students in math and students with learning difficulties in math of senior middle schools in all three grades have great difference in motivation, knowledge and monitoring of math reflection and in the performance of reflection process. Secondly, I analyzed the causes of differences in math reflection ability of top students and students with learning difficulties by interviewing students. I gave some suggestions on the teaching of top students and students with learning difficulties to teachers on the basis of my analysis. Finally, I reflected my study, put forward existing problems and development tendency.
