"People-oriented" theory plays an important role in both oriental and occidental knowledge and cultural traditions, and has different implications. Combining current Chinese characteristics with tasks, the Third Plenum of the16th Central Committee of the CPC puts forward scientific outlook of "People-oriented" theory, opening new aspects for constructing Chinese characteristic socialism, also bringing new concepts for the field of teaching.Students are the main of the education and teaching activities, so "People-oriented" theory requires teachers pay attention to the development of students and take it as the starting point and end-result of teaching activities. This dissertation takes the high school ideological and political education as the object of analysis, analyzes the current implementation of this concept in senior high school teaching, examines profoundly the reasons why we lack this concept in teaching, therefore promotes the benefits of "People-oriented" teaching concept in order to make politics teaching a tool to advance and enhance students’ overall development. Secondly, the dissertation analyzes deeply the importance of this concept in teaching, puts forward some suggestions about how to carry out this concept in senior high school politics teaching in order to provide some practical guidelines in senior high school politics teaching. I hope in near future, the politics teaching in senior high school can really achieved. Hopefully in future, there will be a revolution for the Ideological and Political Course in high school, which could really help every student.
