Reseach On Social Support Of Rural Battered Women In North Of Shaanxi

Family violence as a social question has always been concerned by scholars.Family violence has the characteristics of cross-cultural, different countries and different regions have different forms of family violence, but domestic violence is the root cause of the gender inequality of power. Family violence is most husband to his wife, this kind of phenomenon is widespread, and serious physical and psychological damage to the women, as a social support system is not sound, the number of violence against women still recourse for. Violence against women in rural areas, in particular, under the background of unique social, cultural, economic, they deal with domestic violence of action and access to social support and violence against women in urban areas is different. During the period of social transformation, social gender mainstreaming grew louder, and focus on women’s survival and development, improve women’s social status became a important topic, and for rural women to suffer from domestic violence and social support condition is relatively weak.Therefore, this study selected the perspective of social gender and cultural perspective, based on the social support theory, using qualitative research method, selected25people to participate in the object who live in northern shaanxi N village,through face-to-face in-depth interviews and observation of shaanxi rural women suffer from domestic violence situation and status of social support was described, through the analysis of the demand of violence against women and stress coping styles.Found that battered women overall lack of social support, formal support effect is small, informal support direction incorrect. Around between the affecting factors is ingrained as well as the culture of violence, face culture "superiority". On this basis points out that to improve the social support of the battered women, equal gender culture in shaping and the complete social support network in building.
