With the advent of knowledge economy era, people have to change their ideaabout learning from the traditional “an education, life-long benefit” to the modern"lifelong learning ". Modern Chinese lifelong education is based on adult education,which promotes the development of lifelong education. Adult education in China willplay a more and more important role. in improving the cultural quality of the wholecountry and making the transformation of national economy from traditionaleconomy to modern knowledge economy. With the booming development of theQingpu branch’ professional administration of Shanghai TV University, the quality ofits students declines obviously for their students learn in a utilitarian way which leadsto poor performance and effectiveness, if so, it will not only have a negative impacton the profession and the reputation of the University, but also make people stopbelieving the adult distance education. Since the quality is the lifeline of education,with the popularization of higher education, the problem how to guarantee theteaching quality and how to improve the adult students’ learning motivation andconsciousness is imminent.Based on the distance education, constructivism and learning motivation theory,this paper discusses the strategies to stimulate learning motivation of adult distance.First of all, through the investigation of its studnts’learning motivation in theprofessional administration, it analyzes the composition of professionalcharacteristics and motivation. Secondly, it points out the factors which influencelearning motivation of Adult Distance Education from five aspects such as thelearning environment, the methods of distance education, the learners’ needs,teacher’s qualifications, teaching support service. Third, it rethinks these concernedtheories on the construction of the distance education of adult learning motivationstrategy. Finally, it puts forward some strategies which arouses, strengthens andmaintains adult learning motivation from three aspects such as creating a socialenvironment, meeting learners’ needs and optimizing the school learning supportservices. From above, based on the intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, this paper is to offer methods to promote the sustainable development of theprofessional administration, through arousing the enthusiasm of adult learners andimproving the learning effect.
