Enter twenty-first Century, make a spurt of progress of science and technology,accompanied by the violent change of lifestyle, production mode. The most obviousfeature is the development and application of information technology in all walks oflife. Education, the continuation of the thousands of years of human activity is noexception. The use of electronic information technology and equipment in theprocess of education, has greatly changed the traditional mode of education, theeducation idea and the education method. Not only that, with the development ofinformation technology, digital game is accepted by more and more people,especially young people, digital games to its image, three-dimensional sense of fun,etc., won the majority of adolescent students. More and more students becomedigital game player, indulge in the digital games inextricably bogged down in. It is inthis context, education theory began to think how to make education and digitalgames combined, so that students receive education in the course of the game.Mathematics because of its highly abstracted, so that mathematics teaching isalways a headache. How to combine the knowledge image representation, asaccepted by the majority of students has become a very important mathematicseducators. The application of digital games in teaching is no doubt the crack thisproblem put forward the best answer (at least in the current view is the best choice).The digital game is applied to the mathematics education, can not only makestudents because addiction game delayed learning, the effect of expression but alsowith digital game vivid image, to realize the abstract mathematical knowledgeteaching, can make the mathematical teaching boring more attractive. Butunfortunately, although the theory of digital games are studied, but the research ondigital games in the application of mathematics teaching is still scarce, the study ofmathematics teaching of digital game theory system has not been formed. Therefore,in the tide of digital game-based learning, on the combination of mathematics anddigital games is to represent the general trend, this is very important for thedevelopment of mathematics teaching. Based on digital games as the research object, summarizes the basic theory ofdigital game teaching, on the basis of investigation and research, the empirical studythe application of digital games in mathematics teaching practice, and summarizessome misunderstandings existing in the practice. Finally, the paper proposes toimprove the students mathematical understanding using digital gamecountermeasures and suggestions. As for different types of students should beindividualized teaching, raise awareness of teachers and students of digitalgame-based learning, pay more attention to the combination of teaching elementsand entertainment elements in the game, rich game carrier form education element,to explore new knowledge through the game. In this paper, the application of thedigital games to guide the development of digital games and in mathematics teachinghas a certain practical significance.
