Game-based learning has became a modern information-based teaching, research focus, and has made certain findings, such as the release of the game-learning websites and so on. However, these sites with a lot of games for learning is designed for learners to master or understand the learning content and do not really in a targeted manner consider this game in the end have developed what kind of thinking skills of learners, while in general terms only come to the conclusion that they have developed the learners'ability to learn. Logical reasoning is seen as an integral component of learning, as one of the essential high-level thinking ability for development and growth of the learners, so to enhance the students'logical reasoning ability has also becomes one of the key objectives of school education. Therefore, to study the design of digital educational games for logical reasoning development, in particular, to study its design methods, has important theoretical significance and practical application value.According to the research objectives and research contents, this paper use mainly literature analysis, case analysis methods and object-oriented software design methods, the research work are around the following four fronts.(1) Research base of the digital educational games for logical reasoning development. The paper introduces the content of logical reasoning ability and the theoretical research conditions briefly.The paper describes the theoretical basis of design and then with the integration of the theories, finds the basis for educational games and paves the way for the following instructional design framework.(2) The construction of instructional design framework for digital educational games. By analyzing the domestic and foreign educational game design models, the paper uses the right knowledge. Under the guidance of the method of "study"-based instructional design and the method of games-based instructional design, with the premise of the design objectives and principles for the design of educational games, put forward a instructional design framework for the digital educational games.(3) The practice modeling of the digital educational games. Use the object-oriented software design methods to analyze the objectives and principles of the design of learning tool. After a series of processes, including needs analysis, general design, detailed design, the paper proposed the software design model of digital educational games.(4) The development of application examples. Based on the system design methods, software design methods, modular thinking, this paper used Visual studio 2005 as the development platform and C# as the development language, chose the Pythagorean proposition as an example developed an application example.After a series of studies, papers obtained the following results.(1) Come to the instructional design framework for the digital educational games. Start from the learning theory, game theory, instructional design theory, software design theory and the combination of these theories, the design of the instructional design framework should include learning goals analysis, learner analysis, factors and motivation analysis, game situation design, game mission design. By combining educational design, problem solving, logical reasoning, the paper instructed design framework for the digital educational games.(2) Come to the software design model of digital educational games. Starting from the object-oriented software design and combining with instructional design framework for the digital educational games that have been raised, build the general practice model of educational games. Then divide the system into modules and detail the practice design of the various elements, which enriches the practice model of learning tools and paves the way for the tool development.(3) Development of application examples. The paper chose the Pythagorean proposition as the study contents, using Visual studio 2005 as the platform and the C# as the development language. Applying the theoretical models and software models, design instances examples to verify the feasibility of the model.In this study, paper combined the logical reasoning ability development and educational games theory, games-learning, design and develop an educational game. In the design stage of the digital educational game, adding a learning evaluation module, learners can get timely feedback to timely modify their own learning methods to achieve better learning results.Due to the limit of technology, the development for the module of the digital educational game is not in place, so the future research work will focus on the further improvement of the function of each module of the educational game.
