The first recorded use of the term Personal Learning Environments: The PersonalLearning Environments Session at JISC/CETIS Conference2004in November4th,2004.This event let PLE be the newest research item around the whole field ofeducational technology. Up to now, the number of research about Personal LearningEnvironments becomes much bigger although it is just the beginning.Master students have the learning environment with high freedom, lowpolymerization degree of learning companion, well experimental requirements, lowprofessional communication desire, various of information sources and narrow majorcommunication channels. The characteristics of master students learning conformthe construction and connectivism which are PLE advocated. However, the PLE andits principles just for master students in the internet age still have attracted littleattention around the world. This essay tries to analyze the matter of this field.The study of Personal Learning Environments mainly divided into two aspects,one is about the contents and fundamental basis of PLE, the other is the impacts ofPLE on requirements and efficiencies of targets. Most scholars have set up researchesconcerned on the first aspect, however, in University of Eastern Finland, someprofessors like Teemu Valtonen tried to research on another aspect based on thecontents of PLE dealt by targets and their motives. In this essay, two aspects abovewill be mentioned.The Third Chapter:the current situation of master students PLE will take masterstudents into research and explores the matter that whats the characteristics ofmaster students learning and their situation. In this way, we focus the target peopleof reaserch. Literature review in chapter2and the strategy analysis of building ofmaster students personal learning environment in chapter4are based onconstructivism, connectivism, distributed cognition theory as well as emerging webtechnologies describe the connotation and the basic principles of building about PLE.This part of essay will focus on the connotation and principles of PLE.The First Chapter, Introduction; The second Chapter, Literature Review; The Third Chapter, The Current Situation of Master Students PLE; The Fourth Chapter, TheStrategy Analysis of Building of Master Students Personal Learning Environments.
