With the advancement in information technology and the implement of “XiaoXiaoTong”project, multimedia instruction is being widely used as a tool in aiding teaching and learningprocess. In the beginning,most users tried to ifnd multimedia instruction models and strategies thathad the best effect. However, when people realized that “such models and strategies with large inputbut little output, coupled with high cost of investment but with low benefit”,they began to take intoconsideration the instructional effectiveness of such models and strategies. Multimedia instructionmodels should have good effects and be effective. Performance is the results of the process and theprocess itself. Therefore,evaluating multimedia based on performance, it is possible to assess theinstructional effect and at the same time learn about the instructional process. Therefore’,its a topicworth studying.In this study, author deifned the concepts the Chinese multimedia instruction performanceevaluation. Reviewed the previous research and applications of Chinese multimedia instructionevaluation, summarized the advantages and disadvantages of evaluation index system. Furthermore,due to the informational instruction performance evaluation index and characteristics of highperformance Chinese instruction, the author made the evaluation indicators including ifve ifrst-levelindicators, twenty-ifve second-level indicators with the design-based research methods. Using AHPwith the results of questionnaires the weights were assigned. The evaluation model was establishedby the BP neural network.Finally the author applied the evaluation index into the classroom teaching in H school. Invitethe school department director, senior leader to mark the score for the instruction process,meanwhile, interview the teachers who taught to verify the index system. The results is that therepeated rationality of the index system is Y=0.98,evaluator reliability is a=0.995. From thedevelopment and the foundation perspective, the index has a certain content and methods validity.The feedback of the interview is the index system is suitable for multimedia teaching performanceevaluation, but the weight of the teaching goal is a little high, which is recommended to reduce.This paper included three parts: The ifrst part mainly discussed the Chinese multimediainstruction application and multimedia instruction evaluation in order to determine its performance;deifned the performance evaluation for Chinese multimedia instruction and describe the researchmethods and ideas.The second part contained the design for multimedia instruction performance evaluation indexsystem in primary school, for Grades3-6of multimedia instruction for reading evaluation. In thispart the author mainly studied the foundation, principles, contents and the weight coefifcient forindex system to establish the performance evaluation index system. The author used questionnairesto ifnd out the importance of the compiling index which were answered by primary teachersteaching Chinese who participated in the national teacher training program. After processing thequestionnaire data, results were inetrpreted using a program in MATLAB to get the matrix eigenvalue and eigenvector. The eigenvector is the weight of the index. Using the matrix eigenvalueto inspect the consistency.The last part described the application research for primary school Chinese multimediainstruction performance evaluation system. Verify the reliability and validity of index system in thepractice. Summarize the innovation and shortcomings of this paper, prospecting the future research.
