With the rapid development of science and technology and the booming of knowledge economy, the tool function of higher education is being fully tapped. However, the function of development of individuals didn’t get attention as the basic. At present, because of University classroom teaching in China is excessively affected by instrumental rationality and utility, it mainly cultivates one-way of people and ignore the ultimate concern and subjective cultivation for people in the conventional university value orientation based on "Cultivation of intellect "and "technology acquisition". In a word, the teaching is hard to promote students’ overall development. University classroom teaching activity with problems finally becomes" entity creation" and "materialized activity" for diverging from the integrity of the people. It lost "human", meanwhile, teaching itself also is lost. The understanding of human is the point which the formation of educational theory relying on. Also, it is a starting point of university classroom teaching activity. To some extend, Humanities provide a new path for us to study university classroom teaching activity. Holistic man is the real look of human, so real university classroom teaching activity should highlight "holistic man". These problems are worth researching, such as the reasons of university classroom teaching activity highlighting holistic man, the essence of university classroom teaching activity highlighting holistic man and the approaches to realize university classroom teaching activity highlighting holistic man. These studies are carried out form the perspective of humanities and use literature method and historical method to searching university classroom teaching activity systematically and deeply form the theory.The study is mainly carved out five following parts:First, the section interprets that the research is originated from the lost of real human by instruction. At the same time, the researching significance and researching design are confirmed on the base of analysis and evaluation on the relevant literature.Second, the section defines some basic conception, such as the horizon of humanities, university classroom teaching activity and holistic man.Third, the part reveals real university classroom teaching activity should highlight holistic man by historical investigation of the pursuit of university classroom teaching. Specifically, utilitarian teaching, educational teaching, developmental teaching based of ontological concept of humanities train one-way people, so these teaching activities make the integrity in isolation and cause the alienation of man. Liberated teaching aims at culturing the subjectivity of people. By its very nature, it is remodeling the concept of holistic man from the perspective of practical humanities. Practical humanities thinking and understanding human by a human way consider holistic man is real human, so real university classroom teaching activity should culture holistic man in horizon of practical humanities.Chapter IV, the part interprets the connotation of university classroom teaching activity highlighting holistic man from the dimensions of process and characteristic in horizon of practical humanities.Chapter V, the part explores theoretical logic of the construction of university classroom teaching activity highlighting holistic man from possibility and necessity about the return of holistic man. On the other hand, it proves the real path of the construction of university classroom teaching activity highlighting holistic man form the teaching value orientation, teaching objectives, teaching method, teaching content, teaching organization, teaching management and teaching evaluation.
