Research On Role Conflict Of University Students

With the development of Higher Education, as well as the progress of students’morality, more and more attention has been paid to the Student’Unions. The disadvantages of them have also been criticized. They should be free and independent but also have to bear lots of responsibilities. Why do we develop them, and how to do is a question worth considering. The studies of the Students’Unions have not been a system. My essay did the combing and summarized of the existing essays and aim to be a reference for the following researches.The researches on this field always start from inductive knowledge; the researchers are usually teachers. They usually summarize their experiences but seldom do statistics and academic researches. They don’t consider it with a view of connection. In fact, the Students’Unions are connected to many orgnizations such as the Communist Youth League and the Students’ Department. Usually, the Students’Unions are obliged to achieve their work. Seeking for the solution of the problems must take it into consideration.I selected university-level Students’Union as the object of study, and it is distinguished from a faculty’s Students’Union, the reason is they are very different from each other. The former is aslo related to other orgnizatings more. I aslo did613surveys and8interviews, based on that the relationship is summarized as follows:1. Communist Youth League in fact the major clientele of university-level Students’Union, the Communist Youth League to manage all aspects of the student union. Party committee indirect manages the Students’Union through the Communist Youth League.3. The Students’Department is in co-leadership position.4. Students’League is a strong "opponent". University-level Students’Union and university-level Students’Union will basically independent of each other, but the faculty students often have to support it.5. The university-level Students’Union has a very limited effect on studets. And most students are dissatsfied with it.It follows that the role of university-level Students’Union needs to be adjusted. It needs to be less connected to the Communist Youth League and the Party committee; be closer to other students’organizations and serve the students better.
