Academics And Ploitics:Analysis Of Chancellor Role During The "Central" Process Of The National Central University

From 1927 to 1937, the National Central University completed its "central" process. During this process, the different academic thought, interpersonal conflicts between factions and multiple political forces outside intervention makes the school agitation appeared constantly. The agitation is focus on the change of presidents.This is according to role-changing of president. Presidents pay more attention to the academic role or the political role decide his value in academic and politic. This article is focus on those who are successful in the changing of president like Naiyan Zhang, Jiahua Zhu and Jialun Luo and their attitude to the management of the relationship between academy and politic.1927-1937,The National Central University from a local university reorganized and changed into a central university.This is an important transition. In this decade, the National Central University replaced seven principals, only three presidents Zhang Naiyan, Zhu Jiahua and LuoJialun became successfully governed the university. This study contextualized the three principals. The role of academic and political is the inevitable role of university president.Therefore, the question is not whether two roles to play, but how to balanced both roles. 2. Between the role of academic and the role of political exists conflict. University president can get a balance between two roles. Walking between the two roles the university presidents may be biased in favor of a role, but relatively balanced two roles will be more conducive to the development of the University.3. Select the role of university presidents, impaced by the political environment and also depends on the presidents themselves. Therefore,they should value the national policy environment and the principal of themselves to balance the "Select" and " selected" of their academic role and political role.
