Compulsory education physics is a natural science foundation curriculum concerning experimental teaching. Inquiry experiment plays an important role in the teaching of junior high school’s experimental teaching and also is an important approach for students to obtain physical knowledge actively, comprehend science inquiry method, develop their scientific inquiry ability, experience the fun of science inquiry, cultivate scientific attitude of seeking truth from facts and innovative spirit of science, enhance their scientific literacy comprehensively. There were many problems in the experimental teaching of junior high school. Although virtual reality technology and artificial intelligence technology have been used in the experimental teaching, the effect didn’t improve significantly. The appearance of Internet of Things technology brings the junior high school physics experimental teaching a giant breakthrough. Integration of the Internet of Things technology and junior high school physics experimental teaching has received more and more attention and it will be a hotspot of research among education workers in the future.This paper developed a suitable mode for junior high school physics inquiry experimental teaching with Internet of Things as technology basis and IOT Bit Lab as the practice platform under the guidance of constructivism learning theory, information technology and curriculum integration theory, quality education and the new curriculum theory, inquiry teaching theory. The author gives an application example of integration between the Internet of Things and junior high school inquiry experiment curriculum through elaboration of experimental teaching’s features in the condition of Internet of Things. In this paper, the author also designs an evaluation system which is better than traditional and virtual experimental teaching through an analysis of experimental teaching in the environment of Internet of Things and discussion of experimental teaching’s feature.Finally, this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the effect of junior high school’s inquiry experimental teaching. In the end, the author prospects the future development trend of application of Internet of Things in education. The author hopes that this research can bring some enlightenment to improve the junior high school physics inquiry experimental teaching.
