As the key infrastructure for scientific research, talent cultivation and science and technology services, laboratories have become an important production platform in knowledge economy. With the continuous growth in national investment in science and technology year by year, the expansion of team of scientific and technological personnel, and extension of scientific research activities into various industries, research laboratories in higher education institutions and research institutes have become the main bases for scientific research and high-level talent training. As participants increased, the scale of equipment expanded, and the safety management issues in the laboratory gradually became high.In recent years, the accident in college research laboratory has frequently issued a series of measures, but due to the lack of sound safety monitoring platforms, the reliable laboratory is still unable to achieve safe operation. This topic is based on the safety operation needs of college research laboratories.Based on Internet of Things technology, establish a laboratory monitoring system that can be remotely online monitoring, intelligent warning and real-time intervention control, will effectively improve laboratory’s security level and operational efficiency Reduce safety management costs.A perception layer system based on IOT is designed featuring the spatial-temporal correlation mechanism composed of multiple factors, such as environmental parameters, equipment status, drug materials and personnel behavior in the operation of research laboratories.A human-computer interaction interface of the system is designed based on PC terminals.Real-time data collection, storage and query of the system are realized by the cloud server. The technical architecture of three layers, namely the perception layer, client terminal and cloud server, realizes signal transformation, data collection, network transmission, data storage, data output,human-computer interaction,real-time alarm and control functions, which basically meets the needs of the laboratories in monitoring operation parameters, timely warning and automatic intervening with good redundancy and flexibility. With the Visual Studio 2019 as the server development platform and C# as the development language, the software system uses Socket communication,delegation,multi-threading,callback and other technologies to realize the remote communication and management between collector devices and the clients on the server system. The client adopts a three-tier architecture(view layer, business layer, data layer)mode, designed the functional structure of the client, and adopts regional intrusion detection technology to identify potential security hazards in a timely manner..The sensor layer device is the source of data, while the collector is the bridge for data communication between devices such as sensors and the server. The collector collects, screens data and uploads it to the server and performs the function of control. The data collector of this system adopts one6-bit microcontroller system to obtain data about gas, electricity, access control and smoke sensors through RS485 bus,and converts signals such as switching doors and windows into RS485 signals for processing and uploads data to the server through the network module.Based on the design,a prototype system has been set up in the Materials Preparation Laboratory of the Collaborative Innovation Center of the University,After nearly three months of trial operation, the system has successfully captured alarm signals five times, automatically opened windows in emergency once and temporarily activated access control once, which has met the target and requirements of the design.
