Study On Leisure Behavior Characteristics And Differences Of The Residents In Xiamen Island

Human society entered the21st century later,leisure time comed silently,now leisure has become an important part of people’s daily life, and it’s also an important symbol of the Times development and social civilization progress, the academia has leisure theory research is becoming more and more hot.Xiamen, as a famous tourist city, the focus of attention of the outside world is always stuck in its tourism,few people concern the local leisure culture, leisure industry and leisure life of the residents. This paper with Xiamen island residents as the research object, study leisure behavior of the island’s residents, understand leisure living conditions of the island’s residents and help people to set up correct leisure concept, improve residents’ leisure quality,finally, put forward some corresponding optimization measures for leisure behavior of the island residents.The paper conducts research in leisure behavior characteristics and differences of the residents in Xiamen island, based on the literature summery of the domestic and foreign leisure theory and leisure behavior research progress.First, use SPSS17.0frequency statistics and cross-tabulation method to analysis the leisure status of the island’s residents; then analysis the leisure behavior difference of different demographic characteristics residents,first proposed the hypothesis, utilize the SPSS17.0chi-square test and correlation analysis to hypothesis testing, finally draw the verification results, different demographic characteristics people in leisure motivation, leisure consumption, leisure time periods,leisure time,leisure distance and leisure place preference are significant different. On the basis of the previous research,summarize the general leisure behavior characteristics of the island’s residents, they are.leisure way has became increasingly diverse;leisure time is increasing;leisure space is expanding, from indoor to outdoor;local characteristic is unique, residents prefer seashore leisure;leisure consciousness is higher, but leisure cognition is still insufficient;residents’ leisure behavior of different demographic characteristics are different.Finally,there are some reasonable optimization countermeasures for leisure behavior of Xiamen island residents,this countermeasures have important reference value for improving the leisure life quality of the residents.
