With the development of Chinese education reform,how to evaluate teachers impartially and objectively,to promote the professional development of teachers and to improve the quality of teaching has become the focus of more and more people concernd about.However,because the lack of teacher performance experience,our existing teacher evaluation still has many questions,and the teacher performance assessment system is still not perfect.This hurts the the enthusiasm of teacher,and is bad for the professional development of teacher.The Performance Assessment for California Teacher is charactized of portfolio evaluation,and is used for teacher certiflcation.It changes traditional teacher performance assessment which is mainly examination based assessment and classroom lectures. The Performance Assessment for California Teacher fully reflects the new teacher assessment concept,makes the teacher evaluation more real, more comprehensive, and helps to inspire the enthusiasm of teacher, promoting teachers’professional development.This paper comprehensively introduce the history and the implement of California Teacher Performance Assessment,hopes to inspire our country’s teacher performance.
