Using the compiled undergraduate’s Internet-use motivation questionnaire and the existing Internet self-efficacy questionnaire and Internet altruistic behavior scale of undergraduates, we explored the relationship among college students’Internet-use motivation, Internet self-efficacy and Internet altruistic behavior. What’s more, we examined the difference of the three variables on gender, grade, major and Internet experience (contained years of Internet use and average time consuming on the Internet everyweek). The results are listed as follows:1. The motivation of Internet use consists4factors, that are interpersonal communication, affective experience, self display and information seeking.2. There are significant difference on the gender of Internet-use motivation, Internet self-efficacy and Internet altruistic behavior.3. Internet-use motivation and Internet self-efficacy have no significant difference on grade, while the Internet altruistic behavior has, it decreased as the grade grows.4. Internet-use motivation and Internet self-efficacy are significantly different on major, while the Internet altruistic behavior aren’t.5. Internet-use motivation, Internet self-efficacy and Internet altruistic behavior all increased as the experience of Internet grows.6. Internet-use motivation plays a mediator role between Internet self-efficacy and Internet altruistic behavior, it develops partial mediating effect.
