Studies On Current Situation Of Cheerieading And The Countenneasures In Universities Of Jilin Province

"Cheerleading" has become one of the burgeoning sports which is extremelypopular with modern college students. However, in northern China, it’s developmentis still relatively backward. Therefore, we take Jilin for sample, choosing sixuniversities there and conduct intensive research on the development of"Cheerleading" through the literature data method, questionnaire survey method,observation method, interview method, mathematical statistics method and so on. Thecharacteristic of “Cheerleading” has fully complied with the college students’personality and psychological features. It will be a great exercise to cultivate students’concept of teamwork, patriotic sentiment and strong will through "Cheerleading"training.At present,"Cheerleading" has become an indispensable part for China’s collegebasketball league (CUBA, CUBS) in Jilin province, which for college students,"Cheerleading" is also a significant platform to exhibit self value and charm. Duringthe process of research, the author analyzed the restriction of "Cheerleading"development in northern China, the conclusions are as follow:1."Cheerleading" is deeply beloved by university students, but in Jilin, real"Cheerleading" activities are not enough carried out in schools, so as in clubs andcommunities; besides, it is also very little referred in the physical educationcurriculum.2. In those universities which carry out "Cheerleading" activities, the field andacoustics, are basically meeting the professional standards.3."Cheerleading" teachers (coaches) in Jilin provinces, in the aspect of quality,can not satisfy the needs of professionals; As to quantity, it can not meet the needsfrom both students and society.4. Universities attending national "Cheerleading" competitions are poor in bothquantities and qualities.Based on the above-mentioned conclusions, in turn, we put forward thecorresponding countermeasures which will hopefully play a certain role in promoting"Cheerleading" sports. Suggestions are as follows:1. Encourage universities to carry out "Cheerleading" courses according to theactual situations, and organize the "Cheerleading" clubs and communities.2. Colleges establish funds to guarantee professional fields and acoustics allaround Jilin province. 3. Strengthen the "Cheerleading" teachers’(coaches’) professional qualities;increase the number of professional teachers (coaches) to meet the needs of studentsand society.4. Promote the "Cheerleading" training force, increase the numbers and enhancethe quality of national teams.
