This thesis took the contrast between high school history text book of Chineseand Japanese as the example, and analyzed how to train the sense of history time andspace from the fowling four aspects.First, from the aspect of history, this thesis stated the concept and therelationship of time and space. Time mainly begins from the connection of itshorizontal and vertical, shows its characteristic of continuity. Besides, this thesis citedthe theory of short time interval, middle time interval and long time interval from theyear book school of France. This theory has a big influence to the process of theworld history. Short time interval,which means one history case could influencegratefully to the future, such as the Opium War that made China come into anhumiliate history for almost one hundred years, is unstable and happened soundly andinstantly. But the middle and long time interval are stable, which are made slowly inculture developing and geography environment changing. They are in form of quality,personality, social structure or system, such as the thousands of years’ Chinesemonarch despotism. In the part of description of the space, the thesis emphasized therelationship between space and time, and introduced the distribution of space indifferent areas and its continuality. The relationship of time and space mentioned inthis thesis is belongs to the sense of history Materialism, which is different from theIdealism and Confucianism in philosophy. Idealism just gave a simple description ofthe relationship between time and space and never gave deeper explaining.Second, the way of expression of the concept of time and space in middle schoolhistory text book of Chinese and Japanese. This thesis discussed the content mainlyfrom the structure of the text book’s catalogue. We can see clearly from the Japanesehistory text book’s catalogue that they pay a grate attention on the sense of globalhistory, and from which they learn their own sense of history study, at the same time,they also emphasize the culture difference among different areas and the relationshipof Japanese culture. However, that is what lacking in our history text book.Third, According to the contrast between high school history text book ofChinese and Japanese, the advantage of the later can be found. How should we takethe advantage of the Japanese history text book by using the method of sense ofcontrast history study? This thesis discussed how to teach the students construct thehistory sense of time and space under the multi-culture condition from one of itsheadline.Fourth, the important significance for mentioning the exact way to teach studentsthe sense of history time and space and constructing the concept of time and space under the multi-culture condition is to strengthen the practical function of the historystudy, train students’ ability of solving problems by themselves, open their eyes andbroaden their heart. The more important one is that find the common interest and keepthe difference in different cultures among the conflicts and contradiction, and cancultivate the world citizen at last.
