"Space-time concept" is the organic combination of space concept and time concept,which is one of the important contents in the accomplishment of history in middle school.In the new curriculum reform,there are higher requirements for the cultivation of the space-time concept in the history teaching.Base on it,reading and using historical maps,making and using chronologies of events,mastering calendar methods and the conversion of historical periods are all important ways to learn history.Space-time concept is not only a key link in the core accomplishment of history,but also the basic quality that students must master in their history studying,ancd an important goal of teacher teaching.So,it is very necessary to cultivate students' space-time concept.In this paper,we attempt to find the key link of cultivating the historical space-time concept by looking up relevant literature and combining with the practical teaching.And according to the status quo of middle school history teaching,we put forward some reasonable suggestions in developing students' space-time concept.The first part of this article mainly explains the causes of the selection of the subject,the research actuality and the research value.In the second part,teachers and students are investigated and interviewed respectively in the form of questionnaire,which is aiming at the existing problems of space-time concept development in middle school history teaching,and the results are analyzed and summarized.With the results,the third part elaborates the connotation of the space-time concept and discusses how to train the students' historical space-time concept from three aspects:school,teacher and student.The forth part is about how to guide students to cultivate the space-time concept in the way of thinking through combining the specific cases in the modern Chinese history teaching.And the last part tells the problems that should be paid attention to when we cultivate space-time concept.Obviously,the training strategies mentioned in this paper are not comprehensive.Since the strategies of cultivating students' space-time concept are constantly improved in the process of practice,we should infiltrate and interconnect the different methods and use the resources we can use to enhance students' interest,build their ability to learn independently and develop their internal learning power at the same time.
