Moral education is an important part of school education, which is the basis andpremise of other education, playing an essential role in the society. Along with the advent ofglobalization, diversification, market-oriented, our school moral education is facing a hugedilemma and tough challenges.However the present situation is directly reflecting thequality of national moral education, relating to the future of the nation and the socialdevelopment. Therefore, to define the moral education predicament, find the reasons for itsexistence, and propose some targeted strategies, is an urgent need to the construction ofsocialist spiritual civilization, as well as the key point of the moral education reform.The study based on the theoretical research, complementing with case analysis andhistorical analysis, is taking the moral education itself as a starting point, striving to analysisthe moral predicament in-dept from the meso and micro perspective, and looking for thereasons from moral education predicament their selves, then to make a breakthroughmethods and strategies of moral education predicament. So this paper is divided into threeparts to solve four problems, the first question is to judge the existence of moral educationpredicament in theory and in practice; the second main problem is how to determine themoral plight, which is the second part of this article. Based on the division perspectives ofeducation fair, the author divided the moral education predicament into three parts: thepredicament in the plight, the predicament in the process and the predicament in the results,which can classify and analysis today’s moral status; The third problem is the causes ofmoral education predicament, that is also a key part of the article, because the majority ofresearches are focusing on the external causes, so the author based on the threecharacterization of the moral plight, mainly from seven attributions, such as moral status,the orientation of moral value, the lose of moral subjects, moral education go against withits nature, the separation of moral and culture, the imbalance between thinking and practicemoral education, as well as the moral education system and so on. Only from the intrinsicreasons can we find the reasonable measures and improve the effectiveness of moraleducation to escape from the moral education predicament; the fourth problem is thecountermeasures, after exploring their own reasons for moral education predicament, theauthor proposes five main measures, that is: reasonable to examine the moral educationstatus, the values fit the actual, to be a rational intellectual, to build the cultural moraleducation and to balance the thinking and practice moral education. Through these measures,we can provide some suggestions for moral reform, as well as to better guide the moralpractice and teaching.Finally, to be out of the woods, moral education requires the concerted efforts of allwalks. Only from the organic unity of internal efforts and external conditions, along with theintegration of family, school, and society, our moral education can have a better tomorrow.
