The Problem About Children Of Migrant Worker Starting Kindergaten

As the most basic phase of education,preschool education is necessary for one’s lifetime development.Because our country has been paying attention to preschool education constantly,it has made a major advance,but the phenomenon about inequality of preschool educational opportunity happens frequently.Nanning is a modernize city which is attracting more and more farmers from internal or external province.Therefore,preschool education of migrant workers’ children will become a problem in the progress of urbanization in Nanning.The problem about migrant workers’children starting kindergarten is so important,that they have no equal right to start kindergarten with the local children.I make use of two methods to carry out a research for the five villages and two suburban areas where migrant workers live closely together in Nanning.The result of research is that there are many difficulties when the children of migrant workers start kindergarten,such as they must pay more expenses than local children.These problems will have a bed influence on the health of migrant workers’children,the development of economy and society in nanning.The theory-equality of education opportunity which invented by Torsten Husen,thinks that there are several factors affecting the opportunity of starting school.The first one is matter from school,the second one is psychology from school or family,the last one is opportunity of learning from children themselves.Both of government,society and migrant workers are the factors which affect the children of migrant workers start kindergarten.In the first place,the government has backward concept,a small amount of funds,bed policy.Second,the migrant workers lack guarantee of society,and their children are discriminated against by the local resident because of the difference between town and country.Third,migrant workers make light of the preschool education,and they have no adequate income to pay for their children’s tuition.Both of Hong Kong,Taiwan,America Have rich experience about how to solve the problem of starting kindergarten.In view of existing situation of Nanning,there are three main measures to solve it.First,making clear the responsibility of government.Second,creating harmonious environment of society,Third,changing the migrant worker’s concept of preschool education,and increasing their income. The whole study is based on the scientific method and theory.There are three measures put forward by analysing deeply the present conditions and the cause.The study not only can make up for a weakness about the interrelated study,but also supply foundation for the deeper study.
