Study On Functional Literacy Education For Peasant Worker Of The New Generation

According to the report about the status of peasant workers from NationalBureau of statistics of China, there are145.33million peasants abandoned their ownland and found jobs in cities, and over half of them were the generation after80s.They need to face so many challenges, such as how to adapt the city life, how todevelop themselves, how to change their characteristics, during the procession ofpursuing their dreams in their own cities. However, insufficient educated leads tofelling helpless, when they faced these problems. Thus, it’s very important toimplement the functional literacy education for the peasant workers born after80s.The study based on the status quo of literacy education, surveyed the factors thataffected the peasant born after80s through questionnaire. Moreover, adhering toelevating the rate of the peasant workers participating functional literacy education,this study proposes countermeasures about implementing functional literacy educationand related safeguard mechanism.This study is divided into five chapters. The Chapter1briefly states the relateddocuments about the peasant workers born after80s and literacy education. Anddefine the term of functional literacy education and peasant workers born after80s.The Chapter2states the background of functional literacy education, the trend ofdeveloping of functional literacy education for peasant workers born after80s.The Chapter3states the theory foundation of peasant workers born after80sfrom the theories of learning organization, the life-long learning, human capital, adultlearning.The Chapter4shows the factors affected peasant workers born after80s throughquestionnaires. The Chapter5illustrates the goals, principles of functional literacyeducation for peasant workers, countermeasures about how to implement them, andrelated safeguard mechanism.
