In2012October the Ministry of education, development and ReformCommission, Ministry of finance, the General Administration of sport jointlypromulgated the " opinions " on further strengthening school sports work in thecurrent and future a period, to the primary and secondary schools as the keystrengthening school sports, and further promote the reform and development ofschool physical education, to enhance the health as one of the basic goals of schooleducation the. Miluo city has been identified as Hunan province quality educationreform pilot area, given Miluo’s special education background, the effect of thereform of quality education of students sports participation situation how, this makesthe school sports school of Miluo City participation more meaningful. This paperadopts the method of questionnaire, literature, investigation and comparison of urbanand rural middle school students in Miluo city sports participation status, the analysisof main factors affecting urban and rural middle school students participation in sportsand put forward suggestions, aims to promote the middle school students to activelyparticipate in sports, training participation habits lay the foundation for a goodexercise for junior middle school students, and to provide the basis for the juniormiddle school sports in Miluo City Department of education. The results show:Junior high school students on the extent of active participation in general, thedegree of positive to participate in after-school sports activities should be higher thanthe after-school sports training and athletic competition. The junior middle school andjunior high school in rural towns roughly the same degree, students to actively allkinds of sport participation agreement. Participation in sports content to basketballfirst, PE classes and extracurricular sports activities in the project distribution isrelatively balanced, ball games for sports after school students selected, taking intoaccount the number of running and jumping events. After-school sports training andathletic competition in basketball and running, involved in the content distribution isnot balanced, concentration is high. Junior middle school and rural towns comparedno significant difference.Rural junior middle school students sports participation in physical education isthe main way to collective practice, the coexistence of urban junior high school in thecollective practice, according to the interest and skill three way classification, class ofsports participation form a variety of rural junior middle school. Extracurricular sportsactivities with friends and classmates together, students in rural junior middle schoolextracurricular sports training in school organization mode, urban middle schoolteachers as the main form of organization. Students participate in sports competitionway for every single game to participate in the school organization, rural junior highschool students is through the class and the school sports tournament. Urban middleschool students’ sports participation frequency slightly higher than in rural juniormiddle school, the intensity and duration of no significant difference compared withrural areas. Participate in after-school sports training and athletic competitionfrequency is not fixed, there was no significant difference between urban and ruralareas compared to. Influence factors of rural junior middle school students participation in sports ismainly affect the allocation of school sports resources between rural and urban is notbalanced, the PE teacher participation in the focus on student movement low,students’ learning and the psychological pressure, the modern media and ways of lifeand school social values. Therefore, to increase the degree of concern on schoolphysical education, cultivating students’ sports consciousness sports environment;improve the rural school; teach students in accordance with their aptitude, suit one’smeasures to local conditions, improve the management level of physical educationteachers; to adopt comprehensive measures, actively promote students participation insports at Junior high school in Miluo City, enhance the body quality of students.
