In this paper, With the rapid development of modern economic society,the demand ofall walks of life for different professional talents in Hunan province is also changingconstantly. So the structure of postgraduate education in Hunan province shall beadjusted to promote the economic and social development of Hunan province. How tocultivate more higher equality of graduate students, and how to attract other studentsto graduate school of Hunan province, is the challenge for the development ofgraduate education in Hunan province. This paper studies the adaptability problems ofthe structure of postgraduate education and economic development in Hunanprovince. On the one hand, it can enrich the basic theory of the postgraduateeducation and economic development. On the other hand it can provide a referencefor the sustainable development of graduate education in Hunan province, and providethe basis for effective adjustment of the structure of postgraduate education in Hunanprovince.This article is divided into five chapters altogether. The first chapter is theintroduction. It summarizes the purpose, significance, literature review, methods,contents and difficult point of this research, and defines the relevant concepts. Thesecond chapter is theoretical basis. It is described from the human capitaltheory,theory of regionalization of higher education and the technical local theory.Thethird chapter is the description of the current situation and existing problems ofthe structure of postgraduate education in Hunan province. The fourth chapter is theempirical analysis of the adaptability of the structure of graduate education to theeconomic development in Hunan province.This chapter constructs the researchhypotheses of this article on the basis of above research, establishes the index systemof variable, and establishes the regression model of structure of postgraduateeducation and economic development in Hunan province. The fifth chapter is tooptimize the countermeasures of structure of postgraduate education in Hunanprovince.Based on empirical analysis of the adaptability of the structure of postgraduateeducation to economic development in Hunan province, this paper shows that thelevel structure and subject structure of the postgraduate student education of Hunanprovince are significantly related and adapted to the economic development of Hunanprovince.
