Professional adaptability of students is referred to as that based on his/her basic abilities and characteristics, a student can balance external and internal studying environments so as to be in a good status by interacting with professional surroundings and adjusting oneself. When a college student becomes a postgraduate, making the self-adjustment in order to fulfill all kinds of task, as a postgraduate, will benefit his/her mental health and the social development. The satisfaction of professor-graduate relationship is the most important factor during the adaptation.This research surveyed about six hundred postgraduates from three colleges: Guangxi Normal University, Guangxi University and Shi'hezi University. Based on exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, T-tests, one-way analysis and correlate analysis of variance based on the postgraduate professional-adaptability Scale and the satisfaction of professor-graduate relationship Scale, it drew the following conclusions:(1)The self-designed scale of professional adaptability of postgraduate is highly reliable and fairly valid. It contains five dimensions: profession promises, profession study motivity, profession study behavior, profession self-efficiency and profession study ability.(2)The multiple analysis results show significant difference in grade, genders , majors, work experience and the motive of study.(3)The score of postgraduate professional-adaptability is acceptable, but lower than anticipation.(4)The correlation between the professional adaptability of postgraduate and the satisfaction of professor-graduate relationship is significant. The postgraduates with weak satisfaction of professor-graduate relationship are less professional adaptable, and vice versa.Finally, this article analyzed the outcomes, put forward a few suggestions of improving the postgraduate professional-adaptability, and provided future research directions.
