In recent years, with the further reform of English teaching, especially the cultivation of students’thinking ability in the English language classroom teaching plays an important role, which is closely related to the stage of basic education in English language teaching. English learning can help us to develop an open and inclusive personality as well as promoting the development of thinking. This thesis explores this problem in two aspects--English language acquisition and student psychological thinking cognitive awareness.As for the first aspect, the thesis applies the principles of language acquisition in the teaching procedure to exploring the relationship between the English language and the language of thinking to further study the strategy of the cultured English language thinking ability; As for the second aspect, the thesis applies the psychological cognitive awareness to explore the relationship between the psychological cognitive factors and language thinking from students’learning perspective, further probing the training method of the language thinking skills. The purpose of the thesis is to study the training of the language thinking ability in the English language classroom in Senior High School.The research methods and approaches taken in this study are to observe students’ behavior, meanwhile, record and analyze teachers’ English live classes. By means of comparative analysis and summing up the characteristics of how the students’linguistic thoughts form, the further method of the language thinking training comes up to guide the process of the language acquisition; Based on the psychological theory of cognitive linguistics, the mode of language thinking ability is put forward and used in practice. Two aspects combined and from the perspective of the language thinking psychological cognitive model, the thesis uses the methods of interpretation and quantitative analysis, moreover, it studies the effects of language practice activities on the cultivation of the language thinking ability and the critical role that the language learners’psychological cognitive factors play in the course of forming the language thinking ability, thus, revealing the nature and characteristics of the thinking ability of the English language and developing the scientific teaching approaches in this respect.
