The Research Of Cultivate The Students’Information Literacy In Rural Middle School Biology

With the approach of knowledge and information times, to start information ability has become the inexorable trend and important problem in education reform nowadays in the world. The primary objective of Junior high school new curriculum is to improve students’ science literacy. Information literacy, which is the core component of Bioscience, is closely related to students’information capacity.Through analyzing the standard of new curriculum, new textbooks and unified examinations in middle school biology, we found the specific requirements of information capabilities in biological teaching in middle schools. Using test method, anonymous questionnaire and interviewing method, we investigated and analyzed the current situation of information literacy and influences of the factor in rural middle schools. On this basis, we contrived a teaching method to improve the middle school students’ information capacity. In the end, a case study was given to validate the methodology in in rural middle school biology. The results indicated that, there was a drastic rise in the students’ capacity of getting, analyzing and processing information with an effective teaching of "thinking to thinking, discussing to discussing ".Through fostering students’ ability to ferret out information outside textbooks, expanding the range of students’ information and knowledge, not only exercised students science literacy, it also trained the innovation capacity and innovation consciousness of middle students. This research will provide some scientific basis for improving information ability of rural middle school students’ and formulating teaching strategies.
