With the approach of knowledge and information times, information literacy has become the essential studying ability for the students. Information literacy is the characteristics of the talent in information time. In the producing activities of modern enterprises, in research, in business and trade, one's studying and working ability is actually reflecting on information means mastering and use. It also deals with information moral principle and information consciousness and so on. To start information education and cultivate information ideology and ability has become the inexorable trend and important problem in education reform nowadays in the world. Information literacy, a new concept, has become the topic concerned by the whole world.Through analysing the current situation of information literacy education and using biology teaching in high school as carrier, according to the new course theory and the feature of biology, human beings centred, this essay combines information literacy and biology teaching in an effective way on the basis of practice and explores the ways of information literacy cultivation in classroom teaching, experiments, researching course teaching and all kinds of activities; it also puts forth the education and teaching model in information literacy cultivation under the condition of network and the consideration to relating problems in practice.
