Jean Bardrillard is one of the well-known contemporary French philosophers in theworld, who engaged in consumption society study. He makes a good contribution to thedevelopment of postmodernism. So Baudrillard is regarded as the leader of thepostmodernism study. After1980’s,Baudrillard becomed a worldwide outstandingtheorist due to his postmodernism discourse. Baudrillard’s theory of consumer researchwill help us to compared to other post-modern thinking so as to grasp the characteristicsof post-moodern thought.I read Baudrillard’s theory of consumer society systematically based on thebook.the main study is his consumer theory. There are three parts from the content.The first part briefly puts forward the theory of consumer society background. Iinspect Baudrillard’s theoretical origin from the political, economic and culturalbackground and point out the meaning of Marx’s consumption theory.The second part is deeply excave the consumer society of Baudrillard’theory. Thisarticle induces the consume society’ characteristic and implemental way from theBaudrillard’s work, Further explain why the Baudrillard defined the modern society asthe consumer society and consumer society is how to achieve.The third part carries on the appraisal to the Baudrillard’scomsumer society theory.This article analysises from its theory’s theory and reality reference baudrillard’s theoryof consumer society from rationality and limitations of the theory of analysis...
