Karl Popper can be said to be the most influential philosopher of science in the20th century. In the process of the fierce debate to the Popper’s philosophy, the academia begin to pay attention to the Popper’s late research to the social science methodology. In the The Myth of Framework,Popper recalls that the first time he mentioned the Situational analysis in the historical determinism of poverty, which published in1938. In the process of researching the Popper’s philosophy of social science, scholars found that Popper’s situational analysis set up a bridge between the natural and social sciences. As one of the social science methodology, Situational analysis provides another height for the social survey. Therefore, Popper believes that they are true, because the Situational analysis played a key role in the interpretation of the social environment.This article introduce Popper’s situational analysis in the framework of the Popper’s philosophy thinking, which including his refutation and speculation-counter method, the unity of scientific methodology and theory of the third world and individualism methodology,In the next chapter the author will introduce Popper’s situational analysis deeply and systematically. This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter expounds the origin of Popper’s situational analysis. In the The Poverty of Historicism and other writings, Popper thinks that the situational analysis directly originated from the economic methodology, which developed from "zero method".The second chapter mainly discusses the theoretical basis of the popper’s situational analysis. Popper’s Situational analysis has its broad ideological origins. The chapter introduces the theoretical basis of the Popper’s situational analysis in the whole framework of the Popper’s philosophy.(Such as falsificationism and speculation-refute Law, scientific methodology Popper Situational analysis uniformity and the theory of the Third World and methodological Individualism). The third chapter mainly discusses the characteristics of the Popper’s Situational analysis. This chapter discusses the four characteristics of the Popper’s situation analysis which includes:Building models, The rationality principle, Against psychologism and objectivity.The fourth chapter mainly explores the significance of Popper’s Situational analysis, attempts to introduce the theoretical and practical significance of the situational analysis.1, Situational analysis provides a research method, which beyond the text research, broke the contrariety of the material and consciousness, and the model of the social environment which build stand-alone.2, The most attractive feature of the Situation analysis is that it reflects the reality, and the successful appilication of the situational analysis in many fields confirms the practical significance of the Popper’s Situational analysisThe fifth chapter discusses the Shortcomings of Situational Analysis, and illustrate with the Elster’s Model of Revolutions.
