The highly developing economy promotes education greatly. The chinese old saying “Education is the foundation of society development” points out its importance clearly. But the development of education must be based on reform, so new courses reform has been proposed. But due to new courses reform, education concept should be updated and education system should be reformed. So the teachers should apply multimedia technology to create effective teaching situation, stimulate students’ learning interest and bring up students’ innovation capacity. Multimedia technology has been applied to education field widely and speeded education reform. Primary school "science" course is an important part of basic education field but it involves lots of issues in practical teaching. These factors make one teaching model which is more suitable for primary school "science" course necessary. Practice proves that applying multimedia technology to create teaching situation is more suitable for new courses reform concept, stimulates students’ learning interest more, enhances learning efficiency and promotes students fully developing more efficiently. So in this article, an situational teaching model based on multimedia technology is created to ameliorate the current situation of primary school "science" course.During reading and analysis of lots of related literature, the current situation and issues of situational teaching model based on multimedia technology is summarized; related concept is defined and theoretical support is sorted; combined with the features and issues of primary education, the possibility of situational teaching model based on multimedia technology applying in primary school "science" course is analyzed; situational teaching mode flow based on multimedia technology is constructed; by the way of case analysis, questionnaires and interviews, the effectiveness of situational teaching model based on multimedia technology applying in primary school "science" course is proved. The practice certifies the situational teaching model based on multimedia technology can prevent issues of traditional primary school "science" course, stimulate students’ learning interest mostly, enhance teaching efficiency and help students develop fully. When using this model, in the situation that teachers have created, students can autonomy, cooperate and explore, exert their subjectivity, learn through practice of knowledge construction and become master of learning; teachers can improve their own abilities by guiding and helping students. So the following conclusion has been drawn: situational teaching model based on multimedia technology surely provides a new path for the reform of primary school "science" course and also an reference for educational teaching reform of other disciplines.
