Mental health education curriculum has become an important part of primary and secondary’schools class. It is one of the important ways to carry out the mental health education in primary and secondary schools. It plays an important role in improving the level of mental health in primary and secondary school students and comprehensively promoting quality education.To fully understand the implementation situation of mental health education curriculum in primary and secondary schools of Nanchang City, analyze the existing problems, and make recommendations for the promotion of mental health education curriculum implementation provide a reference to analyze the problems and make recommendations for promoting mental health education curriculum construction provide a reference.the author draw up the "Questionnaire on Mental Health Education Curriculum in Primary and Secondary Schools in Nanchang City" to carried out the investigation of the mental health teachers in136primary and secondary schools of Nanchang City. The investigation content includes the curriculum setting, the choice of curriculum contents, curriculum evaluation, etc. Analyze the issues of mental health education curriculum construction in primary and secondary schools of Nanchang City and put forward suggestions to improve the mental health education curriculum implementation in primary and secondary schools of Nanchang City. The result shows that the implementation of mental health education curriculum in primary and secondary schools in Nanchang City exists the following issues:(1) less classes of specialized curriculum, curriculum to carry out in imbalance;(2) lack of professional teachers;(3) curriculum content is lack of cohesion;(4) the teaching method is unitary;(5) lack of effective evaluation system. The causes of these issues include the impact of exam-oriented education, insufficient recognition of school leadership and limited professional knowledge of teachers. In view of the above issues in mental health education curriculum implementation in primary and secondary schools in Nanchang City, this paper presents six suggestions:(1) Scientific positioning on mental health education curriculum;(2) improving the knowledge of the function of mental healthredueation curriculum:(3) Strengthening the construction of teachers’ staff;(4) Realizing the effective cohesion of the curriculum content of each section of the school;(5) Selecting the appropriate educational methods;(6) establishing a scientific evaluation system.
